Description  Fun and collectible Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators ceramic gumbo bowl set from the annual Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators in Shreveport, Louisiana.  This popular annual gumbo cook-off is held at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport and benefits Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ). The event began in 2013, and commemorative gumbo bowl and spoon sets have been offered as special event merchandise.  This set includes 2 different color variations, each with its coordinating spoon:  * Purple exterior with gold/yellow interior and matching spoon  * Black exterior with bright red interior and matching spoon  * Both feature the Battle of the Gumbo Gladiators logo  * Double-handle gumbo/soup bowl design  * 2 bowls and 2 matching spoons total  A great piece of Shreveport/Louisiana memorabilia and a fun addition to a Cajun, gumbo, Louisiana festival, or regional advertising collection.
